Byron's Pool

Byron's Pool is so named because the poet is supposed to have gone swimming here.

It's now a local nature reserve with a path through the wood and alongside the river.

There's convenient car parking, and we find it handy as a place for one person to walk the dog while the other stocks up on groceries at the Waitrose in Trumpington.

There's an easy-to-miss turning off the road between Grantchester and Trumpington, though there is a signpost.
